AWA is asking members to express their concerns about Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation dropping off materials to build fixed roof cabins in Lakeland Provincial Park. AWA is opposed to urbanization of wilderness areas and the installation of fixed roof structures in remote areas. Please write to Alberta TPR to let them know that these permanent structures are not in Lakeland’s best interests, and that it is inappropriate for work of this kind to be carried out without any public consultation.
