Wood Buffalo National Park Needs Stronger Cumulative Impacts Assessment from Parks Canada

AWA asks Parks Canada to strengthen two aspects of its draft environmental assessment of Wood Buffalo National Park:

Clearly state that the Outstanding Universal Values of the Peace-Athabasca Delta are suffering from adverse effects of development, and have significantly declined below an acceptable level;

Discuss the significant risk of inadequately reclaimed oil sands mine tailings because of technical and financial security shortcomings.
