April 18, 2024

Regarding the the joint Statement of Concern submitted to the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) on Thursday, March 7, 2024, with concerns about an integrated renewal application for Canadian Natural Upgrading Limited’s (CNUL) Jackpine oil sands mine, and requesting that the AER recognize the Athabasca River Basin as a directly and adversely affected person.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Ecojustice, Alberta Wilderness Association, and Keepers of the Water submitted a letter to the AER in response to CNUL’s reply letter dated March 22.
