AWA received the following Closure Letter from the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) regarding the refusal of Horn Ridge Resources Ltd. coal exploration application.

Dear Nissa Petterson:
You are receiving this letter because you filed a statement of concern (SOC) against application No. A10103910 (CEP 200000). The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is hereby notifying you that this application has been refused. As a result, we have closed your related SOC 31742. Horn Ridge Resources Ltd. is still permitted to refile the application; if they do so, they will need to complete or update their stakeholder involvement program as per the AER requirements. If Horn Ridge Resources Ltd. reapplies, notice of the application will be published on our website www.aer.ca. Once the notice is posted, a new SOC may be submitted.
