It was a glorious winter Sunday when families gathered at Bowness Lagoon for an afternoon of skating. The lagoon was busy with lots of families and there was even a live band playing as part of the Chinook Blast festival. There were all levels of skaters in our group from super confident skaters to folks who were on skates for the very first time! Everyone enjoyed gliding around in the afternoon sunshine.

Hot chocolate was waiting when the skaters returned from the rink, prepared by our fabulous volunteer Grace. There were also marshmallows waiting to be roasted and some fun props for the kids to explore, including a grizzly paw print and claws.
