A glorious day awaited the group at the trailhead. Kevin Van Tighem was sharing his knowledge of this landscape and took us on an adventure wandering through the forests and eventually emerging on a glorious ridge above Camp Creek. The hillsides were full of balsamroot, shooting stars and forget-me-nots. We wandered through groves of new-leaved aspen, and saw enormous douglas fir and gnarled limber pine.
