AWA Letter to Premier re: Lease Sales in Milk River Ridge HR

Letter sent by AWA to Premier Jim Prentice regarding the proposed establishment via the SSRP of the Milk River Ridge as a heritage rangeland adjacent to the existing Twin River Heritage Rangeland. The letter highlights the threat of new petroleum exploration and development by DeeThree, and the fact that new development and lease sales are being allowed in the area while planning continues for its protection. AWA asks that subsurface rights for the area (as well as any in the Onefour addition also identified via the SSRP) be surrendered to the crown and appropriate compensation paid.
