Update: Maligne Lake

Wild Lands Advocate article, October 2014, by Ian Urquhart. The 66-suite luxury lodge proposed by Maligne Tours was disapproved, much to the joy of AWA and other ENGO groups. However, despite the 2010 Jasper National Park Management Plan’s statement that no new land within the park will be released, they were approved to build 15 tent cabins, among other developments, near the lake. AWA is hopeful that the death of the lodge will discourage further development.
