Letter: Natural Gas-Fired Facility, Not Coal-Fired

On September 6, 2013 a letter was sent by the President of Maxim Power Corp to stakeholders announcing their plan to change the design of the HR Milner Expansion Project (M2). It was originally going to be a 500 MW coal-fired facility and now they are amending their licenses and permits to build a 520 MW natural gas-fired facility. Natural gas is a clean burning fuel so this proposed switch will result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
