Wolf Bounty FOIP

Certain municipalities in Alberta pay a “bounty” for wolves killed within their borders, despite the fact that there is no scientific justification for doing so. Wildlife in Alberta are a public “resource” and Albertans should have a say in how they are managed. In 2011, AWA made an application under provincial Freedom of Information legislation to see correspondence behind the province’s decision to accept these bounties.
