My What’s Your 60 challenge is to make 60 donations towards conservation and environmental campaigns.

Canada Helps 2024 Giving Report noted that the number of Canadians making charitable donations has declined for the 11th consecutive year. They also note that “32% of Canadians say climate change or protecting the environment is a top cause for them…yet, only 1.5% of donations through CanadaHelps are made to environmental charities.” And that stat, unfortunately, has included me; not giving at a level proportionate to my values. I spend a lot of my spare time enjoying the fruits of stewardship: parks, preserves and beautiful wild places, and I get to see first hand all the good that environmental charities do. Time to put my money where my boots are!
