Join AWA for a night with author Dale Leckie, as he showcases his new book Wildlife, Landscapes, and Geology:
An Alberta and Saskatchewan Touring Guide. From the Rocky Mountains to the rain shadow of the prairies, from deeply entrenched rivers having prairie oases, and glaciated terrain, geology strongly impacts wildlife. The relationship between wildlife and landscape is explored and exemplified in the lives of golden eagles over the Rockies, the American pika and eroding mountains, burrowing owls on glaciated plains, and greater short-horned lizards surviving in a vast rain shadow.
The presentation will interweave science with spectacular photos and beautiful art to encourage people to travel Alberta and Saskatchewan, exploring for beautiful scenery and to view the wildlife that lives there. Read more about Dale here.
