EDMONTON: Elections, Budgets and Environment

Tuesday, November 26, 2019
7PM (Doors 6:30PM)
Jackson Power, 9744 - 60 Avenue NW, Edmonton

On October 9th, Ipsos reported that, in a poll conducted for Global News, climate change was one of the most important issues in the minds of voters. Twenty-nine percent of those surveyed said it was one of their top three issues (only health care at 35 percent polled higher). Following the election, what does the composition of the new government suggest we might expect in addressing climate change and other environmental issues? Join Dr. Ian Urquhart (political scientist at the University of Alberta/University of Calgary) to explore this question.
