Ian Urquhart: Promises Made (Edmonton)

Tuesday, February 26, 2019
9744 - 60 Avenue NW, Edmonton

The NDP 2015 election platform promised leadership on climate change. As Albertans ready for a spring 2019 election, Ian Urquhart considers just how much leadership Premier Notley’s government has shown on the climate change file.

Ian joined the Department of Political Science at the University of Alberta after completing his PhD in Political Science at the University of British Columbia in 1987. Environmental and natural resource exploitation issues figured prominently in his research and teaching there for more than 30 years. His latest book, Costly Fix: Power, Politics, and Nature in the Tar Sands, was published by University of Toronto Press in 2018.
