Join us for an evening of celebration and learning in November for the annual Martha Kostuch Wilderness and Wildlife Lecture and Awards Evening.
We are pleased to announce our guest lecture will be presented by Clint Docken, a long-time Alberta Wilderness Association board director and Calgary lawyer for over 50 years. Clint has been instrumental in many significant environmental law cases in Canada, including being legal counsel in the Fort McMurray First Nation class-action lawsuit against a coal company that spilled 670 million litres of wastewater into the Athabasca River in 2013. As a long-time Bragg Creek area resident, Clint has been involved in environmental and community activities since 1974.
AWA Wilderness Defenders Awards are dedicated to individuals who have inspired us with their love of Alberta’s wild lands, wild rivers and wildlife, and their efforts and achievements for conservation.
