Alberta’s New Energy Regulator and Pipeline Breaches: Will We See Better Disclosure?

The information regarding a pipeline spill of 9.5 million litres of waste water near Zama City was not released to the public until nearly ten days after the incident. This raises questions about the ERCBs ability to timely disclose crucial spill information.

We simply need that wild country available to us, even if we never do more than drive to its edge and look in. For it can be a means of reassuring ourselves of our sanity as creatures, a part of the geography of hope.
