"It is important now to reflect upon the fundamentally flawed process which came so close to allowing this important environmental land ‐ endangered species habitat and leased grazing land – to be sold off and ploughed up."

Alberta Wilderness Association (AWA) would like to congratulate you on the decision to cancel the proposed “Potatogate” land sale of 16,000 acres of public land. Your decision to act so promptly upon your campaign promise is highly commendable.
It is important now to reflect upon the fundamentally flawed process which came so close to allowing this important environmental land ‐ endangered species habitat and leased grazing land – to be sold off and ploughed up.
