"The reality is that fresh water is more valuable than crude oil."
- Peter Lougheed, Former Alberta Premier, 2005
In recent years, many Albertans have been engaged in a number of important water issues, and ensuring the security of our source water has become vitally important to each one of us. We believe there is both a need and high interest to discuss Alberta water resources policy and decision making. We hope you will attend this forum.
Candidates confirmed to represent their parties are the following:

- Liberal Party – David Swann (Candidate for Calgary-Mountain View)
- New Democratic Party – Robyn Luff (Candidate for Calgary-East)
- Progressive Conservative Party – Evan Berger (Candidate for Livingstone-Macleod)
- Wildrose Party – Richard Jones (Candidate for Calgary-Acadia)

Panelists will discuss progress and concerns related to Alberta's water in three topics:
- Source water protection: rivers, wetlands, lakes.
