A presentation by:

Dr. Mark Boyce
Dr. Cameron Aldridge
Cliff Wallis

Alberta's spectacular greater sage-grouse is a species on the brink of extinction in Alberta. Just 13 male birds were recorded in Alberta in 2011. Without significant changes to the protection of sage-grouse habitat in Alberta, the species is forecast to die out by the year 2013. the situation is desperate.

In a last-ditch attempt to save our sage-grouse, AWA is hosting an emergency sage-grouse summit. As part of this summit, some of our foremost sage-grouse scientists will be holding an evening presentation, to talk about the plight of this charismatic bird, and what we can do to help.

Sage-grouse need the help of scientists, but they also desperately need supporters. They need people like us to speak out, and to call for emergency measures to protect habitat before it is too late.

TICKETS: $25, including a $20 tax-receiptable donation towards Sage-grouse conservation.
