Backpack in a short distance to your camping spot in the gorgeous surroundings of the Castle River Valley. Spend two days hiking in this superb environment.
Come and explore the Big Sagebrush Natural Area in the awe-inspiring surroundings of Alberta's Castle River area. We will backpack several kilometres into our camping spot and spend two days and nights enjoying a number of day hikes. On one of these days we will climb Table Mountain for a view of the area from above.
The Big Sagebrush Natural area is the only area in Alberta containing the relatively rare Big Sagebrush plant.
PARTICIPANTS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN BACKPACKING AND CAMPING GEAR AND FOOD.

This hike is rated Difficult due to the ascent of Table Mountain. Other activities, including the hike in, will involve a Moderate level of effort.
