Land use practices may be having an impact on boreal bird communities.

Dr. Erin Bayne will present a photographic overview of the consequences of changing land-use practices in the boreal forest. The implications of these changes for boreal biodiversity will be discussed, with an emphasis on how bird communities are changing and why.

Erin is an assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta.  His research focuses on understanding how human land-use decisions affect biodiversity in an effort to make better planning decisions.
