Where the AWA building is located.
AWA office is located in the historic Hillhurst Cottage School, constructed in 1910 as a temporary building. Poor economic times and high enrollment kept this school open until 1955 (there are many people who still remember attending). This two level wood frame structure with tall floor to ceiling height and high roof, is located at 455 - 12 Street N.W., in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The cottage school is a prominent building on the streetscape with natural wild plants and a few trees. The AWA office is conveniently situated in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of the downtown core. There is visitor parking behind the building that is accessible from the south bound alley on 5th Avenue.
